First International Conference on Halal Products is due to be held by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, WEBDA reported.
Its aims are to develop culture of halal products in Iran, of importance of using halal, its effects on material and spiritual life of Muslims, its legal and religious dimensions, and the need to use new research and technologies in producing and monitoring halal products.
Deputy for Food and Drug at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and Executive Secretary of the conference Dr. Mohammad Reza Saberi said, “The conference will be held by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Mashhad on Dec. 13-15.”
“Its main topics will be shariah and halal products, research and technology of halal products, and economy of these products.”
He also noted that 10 specialized workshops will be held on sidelines of First International Conference on Halal Products, adding, “Four workshops will be on shariah and halal products, three workshops on research and technologies of halal products, and three ones on economy of halal products.”
Executive Secretary for the conference said that innovations in halal products, effective social activities in halal sphere, leaders and pioneers in sphere of halal products, are topics to be winning prizes, adding, “The leaders and pioneers in halal area will be introduced by members of Executive and Scientific Committee of the conference.”
